Travel time

Morocco’s travel climate between coast and inland:

Climatically, Morocco is divided into two parts. The northwest of the country is influenced by the Mediterranean, the southern part of the country influenced by the Sahara climate.

The Atlas Mountains forms a kind of climatic boundary. In the mountainous regions there is a mountain climate.

The Sahara outskirts to the south of the Atlas have an extremely dry desert climate.
The summers are very hot, also at night. The winters are mild, but sometimes surprisingly cold, especialy at night. Rainfall is very irregular, rarely reaching 200 mm per year, so that arable farming can only be done in oases with irrigation.

For the Morocco beach holiday, the summer months from July to October are the best time to travel. Destinations such as Agadir and Essaouira now have perfect conditions with pleasantly warm daytime temperatures and a water temperature of 19 to 22 degrees Celsius.

For the inland cities and trekking tours in the Sahara, the months of mid-September until the beginning of June are the perfect travel time.
