Meeting point of all tours is the Café of Caravane de Rêve in M’Hamid.

A few years ago M’Hamid still was an unobtrusive caravan base in South Morocco. Today the place is the starting point for camel trekking, off-road tours and desert walks in the vastness of the Sahara.

Sandboarding in the dunes

Camel ride and sandbording in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi

A short desert trip on the back of a camel (actually dromedary) through the Sahara.
We explore the picturesque dunes and enjoy the sandboarding.
Our camp is located in the picturesque, up to 100 meters high sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi.

Duration: 1 day
Price per person: 55 €

Itinerary:

We start at 10:00 in M’Hamid, meeting point at Café Caravane de Rêve.
You will ride with a dromedary, accompanied by a local guide, about 2 hours through the desert. Of course you can also get off and walk at any time.
Then you will reach our bivouac (desert camp) in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi. There we will serve you a delicious lunch. After lunch you have time to explore this beautiful dune landscape by foot or to enjoy the sandboarding.
After the afternoon tea, depending on the season, between 15:00 and 17:00, you will ride back to M’Hamid.

The price includes: The accompanied dromedary ride from M’Hamid to Erg Lihoudi and back, sandboarding, lunch and afternoon tea.
Not included: water, soft drinks and alcohol, as well as possibly tips.

Camel trekking – with the “desert ship” – dromedary through the beauty of Sahara

Discover the magic of the Sahara on the back of a dromedary. 
This tour is just right for those who want to completely forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The overwhelming beauty of the Sahara, the swaying pace of the dromedaries, the total silence, and being together with the self-contained Saharaoui nomads will bring the long-awaited peace to your mind and soul. Overnight in comfortable nomad tent with comfortable beds and – so much “luxury” we treat ourselves and our guests – with sanitary facilities.

Desert Dream Tour 1 (2 days / 1 night)

Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Price per person: 65 €

Itinerary:

Day 1:
We start between 14:00 and 15:00 in M’Hamid. Meeting point: the Café of Caravane de Rêve.
You will ride on the back of a camel (actually dromedary) about 2 hours through the desert.  Then you will reach our bivouac (desert camp) in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi.  There we serve you “Berber Wisky” (Moroccan tea), and later a delicious dinner. By candlelight, or campfire and usually with traditional music, we spend the evening together.

Day 2:
After a magical, quiet night you will ride back to M’Hamid after breakfast.  Your local guide will gladly answer your questions and tell you about the peculiarities of dromedaries and the Sahara.

The price includes: 1 night at the bivouac, 1x dinner, 1x breakfast, camel trekking with a guide.

Desert Dream Tour 2 (4 days / 3 nights)

Duration: 4 days / 3 nights
Price per person: 250 €, from 3 persons 220 € per person
Itinerary:
From many years of experience, we know that it is not good for camel trekking to set a route in advance, because each guest has his own pace and condition.
The daily stages result according to the walking or riding skills of the participants, our guides have a very good sense for that! But we promise you that you will experience the desert landscape in its full uniqueness and beauty!
During the day you will walk and ride. The dromedaries serve as load and mounts. The camp is always set up in beautiful dunes and for the lunch break, your guide always looks for a secluded spot. For the camp we provide for you 2-3 persons igloo tents, light mattresses, blankets and sleeping bags.
Day 1:
We will meet in M’Hamid at our cafè – Caravane de Rêve – between 14:00-16:00.
From there you ride about 2 hours to our camp in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. There you can explore the dunes and enjoy the sandboarding.  In the evening you will be have a Moroccan dinner and you will sleep in a nomad tent.
Day 2:
The next morning, after berakfast, we will pack the dromedaries. Accompanied by our cook and a guide, you will venture into the vastness of the desert.
You will walk/ride 2-3 hours in the morning and then after the lunch break another 1-3 hours,
After the camp for the night is set up, you will have a good dinner.
You can sleep in an igloo tent or under the open sky, whichever you prefer.
Day 3:
We will continue in the same calm rhythm as the past days.
Day 4:
This is the last day of our common camel trek. We will arrive back at our fix desert camp at Erg Lihoudi, around lunchtime, there we will have lunch. Afterwards you will ride the dromedaries to M’Hamid, or we bring you back to M’Hamid with the SUV.
The price includes: 3 nights in desert camps, 3x dinner, 3x breakfast, 3x lunch, dromedaries and your guides.

Camel trekking and SUV ride to the mighty dunes of Erg Chigaga

Spend an unforgettable time in the silence and vastness of the Sahara.
Comfortable on the back of a dromedary or swift with the off-road SUV to our desert camps, which are located in picturesque, wind-shaped, sand dunes.
Our traditional nomad tents have clean, comfortable beds, and each camp has both toilets and showers.

Desert Dream Tour 3 (2 days / 1 night)

Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Price per person: 110 €,
from 3 persons 100 € per person

Itinerary:

Day 1:
This adventure starts at 11:00 in M’Hamid, by 4×4. Meeting point: the Café of Caravane de Rêve.
Until lunch, drive through oases and stone deserts (Hamada).  The traditional lunch in the shade of the beautiful oasis Sacrè gives you the opportunity to tune in to this unique environment.
Afterwards we continue into the Sahara, to the huge sand dunes of Erg Chigaga, with heights up to 300m.
During the entire trip there is always the possibility for photo stops, and your driver / guide will tell you a lot of interesting and interesting facts. With a little luck, you will experience a breathtaking sunset on the top of the dunes.
Upon request, there is also the possibility for sandboarding. 
The typical dinner is served in a big nomadic tent and accompanied by traditional music.

Day 2:
After one of your quietest nights in the nomad’s tent, or under millions of stars, we will go back to M’Hamid the next day after breakfast. Arrival there about 11:00.

On request, you can also book a 1-hour guided camel ride before the off-road drive, or in the dunes of Chigaga for 15 € per person.

Itinerary:

Day 1:
This experience starts in M’Hamid between 14:00 and 16:00. We meet you at the Café of Caravane de Rêve.
You will ride on the back of a camel (actually dromedary) about 2 hours through the desert.
Then they reach our bivouac (desert camp) in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi. There we serve you “Berber Wisky ” (Moroccan tea) and later a delicious dinner. By candlelight, or campfire and usually with traditional music, we let the evening end together.

Day 2:
After a magically silent night, we have breakfast and then we start our off road drive through the desert. 
Until lunch, the ride goes through dry river beds and stone deserts (Hamada).  The traditional lunch in the shade of the beautiful oasis Sacrè gives you the opportunity to tune into this unique environment.
Afterwards we continue further into the Sahara, to the huge sand dunes of Erg Chigaga, with heights up to 300m. Throughout the ride, there is always the opportunity for photo stops, and your guide will tell a lot of interesting and worth knowing.
With a little luck you will experience a breathtaking sunset on the top of the dunes.
On request, there is also the possibility for sandboarding.

Day 3:
After one of your quietest nights in a nomad’s tent, or under millions of stars, we will drive back to M’Hamid the next day after breakfast. Arrival there at about 10 am.

The price includes: 2 overnight stays in desert camps, 2x dinner, 2x breakfast, 1x lunch, the vehicle, sandboards and dromedaries with a guide.
Not included: water, soft drinks and alcohol, as well as possibly tips

Desert Dream Tour 5 ( 5 days / 4 nights )

Spend 5 days and 4 nights with us in the vastness of the Sahara.
Enjoy the tranquility and slowness during the camel trekking and enjoy the off-road 4×4 tours. This tour really gives you the feeling of being in the desert, and you will gain a deep insight into the nomadic lifestyle.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
In the afternoon we will pick you up in M’Hamid and bring you to our bivouac where we will have dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
The next morning, after breakfast, you will ride on a dromedary to Rass Enekel, where we have lunch.
Freshly strengthened and rested, we move on to the sacred nomad shrine Sidi Naji. There we will camp for the night.
Day 3:
After a wonderfully quiet night, the dromedaries take us to Boussna, a secluded spot where beautiful tamarisk trees grow. In the shade of the trees we will have a traditional lunch. After sufficient rest, we drive in the SUV in the vast sand dunes of Erg Chigaga.  There we will have dinner in the nomad camp and also stay overnight.
Day 4:
In the early morning, after breakfast, we drive in the SUV, through impressive stone desert landscapes, seemingly endless sand and oases to Mezouaria, to our bivouac, in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi.
After lunch with delicious food, we will take you to M’Hamid, where you can enjoy the small town life in peace, or take a nice walk to visit the old Kasbah.
If you wish, we will accompany you.  In the evening we will look back to the impressions of the past days with a delicious Tagine and a final night in the bivouac.
Day 5:
The next morning we bring you back to M’Hamid after breakfast, where we will say goodbye as friends.
The price includes: 4 nights in desert camps, 4x dinner, 4x breakfast, 3x lunch, the vehicle, dromedaries and companions.
