We'll pick you up from your hotel/riad in Marrakech at 9:00 a.m. and drive you to the ANIMA garden, a magical, colorful installation by André Heller. There, you can spend two hours wandering and marveling at the paradisiacal composition of art and nature.
We continue into the green Ourika Valley, through which the wildly roaring Ourika River meanders. We will have lunch in one of the tiny restaurants right on the riverbank, and then, refreshed, we will climb to the rushing Setti Fatma waterfall.
Back in the valley, we'll refresh ourselves once more in one of the riverside restaurants and then drive back to Marrakesh. Arrival in Marrakesh in the afternoon.

A day at the sea in Essaouira

Day 1:
We pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Marrakech or directly at the airport.
First we drive up to the mountain pass Tizi-n-Tichka through the High Atlas up to 2,260 meters. This landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. Picturesque clay villages and mountain huts cling to the steep slopes, goats and sheep climb on the slopes.
At lunchtime we reach the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where the Kasbah of the same name (UNESCO World Heritage Site) is located.
After lunch we will visit this ancient fortress together.
Strengthened and rested, we drive south through the Anti Atlas via Agdz and Zagora.
In the afternoon we reach our desert camp in Erg Lihoudi. The camp is surrounded by picturesque sand dunes. There is a freshly cooked dinner, and we spend the evening together with campfires and traditional music.
You will sleep in our comfortably equipped nomad tents or – if you like – under the glittering sky!
Day 2:
After breakfast, we drive in the SUV through the desert,
with the destination Erg Chigaga. We pass through the stone desert (Hamada), interrupted by sand dunes (Erg) on an adventurous route to the Oasis Sacrè, where we will have lunch. In time for sunset, you will reach the vast dune sea of Erg Chigaga. The largest group of sand dunes in the region reaches a height of300 m and a width of 40 km.
You stay in a fixed bivouac in nomad tents or under the clear starry sky, as you wish. If you want you can have a camel ride in the dunes. After dinner there is time for stargazing at the campfire with traditional nomadic music.
Day 3:
In the early morning it is worthwhile to climb the dunes and watch the sunrise.
The desert breakfast tastes even better then. After breakfast we drive to M’Hamid, where we have a short rest before we continue to Zagora, where we have lunch.
On the way to Zagora we pass Tamgrout. There is a cooperative for traditional pottery. If you like we can stop there for you.
Then we drive, with small breaks in between, back to Marrakesh, where we will arrive in the early evening.

After breakfast we drive further south. In Agdz we leave the road and make an off-road trip through the Palmerie with a very nice viewpoint. Back on the main road, we continue via Zagora to Tamgrout. There we will look at how the typical pottery is made.
For lunch we will be in M’Hamid. There the camels (dromedaries) are waiting for you. Accompanied by a guide, you will ride for about two hours to our desert camp at Erg Lihoudi. Here you will be welcomed with “berber whisky” (mint tea) and pastries. Then you can explore the magical dunes or try the sand boarding.
The evening we will spend together at the bonfire with traditional music and admire the stars.

With the SUV we will drive the old Paris-Dakar-piste passing the flat Lac Iriki. Most of the lake has dried up over the years, but it actually happens that rains in the north bring torrential streams and flood everything.
In Foum Zguid the road starts again. From there we drive to Tazenakht where we have lunch.
Until the early afternoon we reach the former garrison town Ouarzazate.
There you have the opportunity to visit one of the famous film studios. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.
Day 5:
After breakfast we drive with sufficient stops back to Marrakesh. Arrive there at lunchtime.

Most of the lake has dried up over the years, but it actually happens that rains in the north bring torrential streams and flood everything.
In Foum Zguid the road starts again. From there we drive to Tazenakht, where we have lunch.
From Tazenakht we drive west to Taroudant. There we visit the still well-preserved medina (old town) with its huge walls.
In the early afternoon we will arrive in a beautiful riad outside of Taroudant. The nice garden and the swimming pool are a surprising change from the desert landscape. Here we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5:
After breakfast we drive along the Tiz’n Test Pass, which is very close to mount Toubkal, Djebel Toubkal.
The scenery is spectacular.
In Asni we will have lunch. Of course, we take plenty of breaks along the way, also for taking pictures.
Arrival in Marrakech in the early afternoon.

We drive through the beautiful landscape of the High Atlas along the Tiz’n Tichka Pass.After passing the highest point of the pass at 2260 meters altitude, we are on the south side of the High Altas, in Ouarzazate, where we will have the lunch break.
Then we continue towards east on the road of the Kasbahs through the valley of the roses.
In the Dades Valley we will dine in a beautiful riad (guesthouse) and stay overnight.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we visit the Todra gorge and continue from there to the stunning dunes of Merzouga, Erg Chebbi. Lunch we will have on the way. In the dunes of the Erg Chebbi we will be served “berber Whisky” (mint tea) and pastries. Then it is time to explore the magical dune landscape.
Dinner and overnight stay are in the very nice and comfortable camp. There are tents with each tow beds, toilet and shower.
Day 3:
In the early morning you will go on a guided camel ride (on dromedaries) to watch the sunrise in the dunes. Back in the camp there is a delicious breakfast. After breakfast we drive to Errachidia and through the Ziz valley.
In Midelt we will have lunch. The hights of the Middle Atlas we will pass along the Zad Pass. In the mighty cedar forest, near Ifrane, we will make a detour to the adorable Berber monkeys. We will arrive in Fès in the afternoon.
