The meeting point for all our tours is the office of Caravane de Rêve in M’Hamid.
In the past M'Hamid was a secluded, inconspicuous oasis serving as a caravan base in southern Morocco. Today, it's the starting point for camel treks, off-road tours, and desert hikes in the vastness of the Sahara.

A short desert trip on camelback (actually a dromedary) through the Sahara. We explore the picturesque dunes and have fun with sand boarding. Our camp is located in the secluded, up to 100 meters high sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi.

Itinerary:
Departure at 10:00 AM in M'Hamid, meeting point is the office of Caravane de Rêve. You will ride a camel (Dromedary) through the desert for approximately two hours, accompanied by a local guide. Of course, you can dismount and continue on foot at any time. Afterwards, you will reach our bivouac (desert camp) in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi, where we will serve you a delicious lunch. After lunch you will have time to explore the beautiful dune landscape on foot or try sand boarding. After tea in the afternoon, we will return to M'Hamid between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on the season.

We depart between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. in M'Hamid, meeting at the office of Caravane de Rêve. You'll ride through the desert on camelback (dromedary) for approximately two hours. You'll then reach our bivouac (desert camp) in the picturesque sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi. There, we'll serve you "Wiskey Berber" (Moroccan tea) and later a delicious dinner. We'll end the evening together by candlelight or campfire, usually with traditional music. After a magically quiet night, you'll ride back to M'Hamid after breakfast.

Itinerary:
From many years of experience, we know that it's not a good idea to plan a route in advance for camel trekking, as each guest has their own pace and fitness level. The daily stages are determined by the participants' walking and riding ability; our guides have a very good feel for this! But we promise you that you will experience the desert landscape in all its uniqueness and beauty! During the day, you will walk and ride. The dromedaries serve as pack animals and riding animals. The night camp is always set up in picturesque dune areas, and your guide will always select a cozy spot for lunch. For the night camp, we have tents for 2–3 people, light mattresses, blankets, and sleeping bags.
Day 1:
This experience starts between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in M'Hamid, meeting at the office of Caravane de Rêve. From there, you'll ride approximately two hours to our camp in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. There, you can safely explore and enjoy the dune landscape.
In the evening there will be a Moroccan dinner and you will sleep in a fix nomad tent with beds.
Day 2:
The next morning the camels are loaded and you head out into the vastness of the desert accompanied by our cook and a guide.
You will ride or walk for 2–3 hours in the morning and then another 1–3 hours after the lunch break, depending on how you feel.
In the evening, a mobilke camp will be set up, followed by a delicious dinner. You'll sleep in an igloo tent or under the stars, whichever you prefer.
Day 3:
This day will also pass in the same calm and rhythm as the previous ones.
Tag 4:
This is the last day of our camel trek. We will return to our desert camp in Erg Lihoudi around lunchtime. There, you will enjoy a meal. Afterward, you will ride the camels to M'Hamid.

Camel trekking and off-road vehicle ride to the mighty dunes of Erg Chegaga. Spend an unforgettable time in the tranquility and vastness of the Sahara. Explore the desert on the back of a dromedary or on an off-road SUV ride to our desert camps, nestled among picturesque, wind-carved sand dunes. Our traditional nomad tents provide clean, comfortable beds and have toilets and showers.

Day 1:
This adventure departs at 11:00 AM from M'Hamid, by four-wheel drive. Meeting point: the office of Caravane de Rêve. The journey continues through oases and stone deserts (hamada) until lunchtime.
A traditional lunch in the shade of the beautiful Oasis Sacrè gives you the opportunity to appreciate this unique environment. Afterwards, you'll continue into the Sahara, to the enormous sand dunes of Erg Chegaga, which rise to heights of up to 300 meters. Throughout the journey, there will be plenty of opportunities for photo stops, and your guide will share many interesting and informative stories.
With a little luck, you'll experience a breathtaking sunset at the top of the dunes. Sand boarding is also possible upon request.
The typical morrocan dinner is served in a big nomad tent.
After dinner it is time to sit at the bondfire, listen to traditional Nomad music and watch the stars.
Day 2:
After one of your most peaceful nights in a nomad tent, or under millions of stars, you'll return to M'Hamid the next day after breakfast. Arrival there around 11:00 AM.
If you wish, you can also book a 1-hour guided camel ride in the dunes of Chegaga for €15 per person.

A traditional lunch in the shade of the beautiful Oasis Sacrè gives you the opportunity to appreciate this unique environment. Afterwards, the journey continues further into the Sahara, to the enormous sand dunes of Erg Chigaga, with heights up to 300 meters. In the camp you will be welcomed with tea. Until dinner you will have plenty of time to explore the unique enviroment by foot. Sand boarding is also available upon request. With a little luck, you will witness a breathtaking sunset on the top of the dunes.
We will end the day at the bonfire watching the stars and listening to traditional Nomad music.
Throughout the journey, there are opportunities for photo stops, and your guide will provide many interesting and informative insights.
Day 3:
After one of your most peaceful nights in a nomad tent you'll return to M'Hamid the next day after breakfast, arriving around 10 AM.

Spend 5 days and 4 nights with us in the vastness of the Sahara. Enjoy the peace and quiet of camel trekking and have fun on off-road tours in our 4x4.
Day 1:
The next morning, after breakfast, we'll ride the camels to Rass Enekel, where we'll have lunch. Refreshed and rested, we'll continue to the sacred nomad shrine of Sidi Naji, where we'll camp for the night.
Day 2:

Day 3:
After a wonderfully quiet night, the camels will take us to Boussna, a secluded spot where beautiful tamarisk trees grow. A traditional lunch will be served in their shade. After a sufficient rest, we will then travel by off-road vehicle to the mighty sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. There we will have dinner and spend the night in a nomad camp.
Day 4:
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we'll set off by off-road vehicle through impressive rocky desert landscapes, seemingly endless sand, and oases to Mezouaria, where we'll camp in the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. After a delicious lunch, we'll take you to M'Hamid, where you can enjoy the small-town life at your leisure or take a pleasant walk to visit the old kasbah. We'll be happy to accompany you if you wish.
In the evening, we will reflect on the impressive images and impressions of the past days with a delicious tagine and a final night in the bivouac. This tour will truly give you the feeling of having been in the desert and you will gain a deep insight into the nomadic lifestyle.
Day 5:
The next morning, after breakfast, we will take you back to M’Hamid, where we will say goodbye as friends.
